Onitis sp. (genus) (Onitis dung beetle)

Six species of this genus were successfully introduced to Australia from Africa and southern Europe to help bury cattle dung. Three of them - O. alexis, O. aygulus and O. pecuarius - have been reported as established in the ACT or adjacent regions.
