User's notes
We regularly see a pair of eagles in this area, and the nesting sites within the area are regularly used. On this day we observed 2 pairs of eagles involved in an aerial dogfight. This lasted for approximately 4 minutes. You can see in one of the photos two eagles locking talons with a third just below them. We assume this was a territorial argument. One was later observed flying in the canopy near the nests, whilst one other circled high overhead and the other two circled off to the South east towards Mt Clear. A spectacular sight, particularly for the young Venturer Scouts with us on their first round of WaterWatch monitoring for Southern ACT Catchment Group.
