In this area the choice is between 2 sp. E. excursaria & E. bispinaria. E. calida looks similar but is ruled out by "gently curved" forwing line (previous 2 have "strong kink"). Males of the 3 sp can be separated by form of antenna pectinations - E. excursaria short & fine (see 4576858) - E. bispinaria very short & fine - E. calida long pectinations. I think this is a female as I can't detect pectinations. E. excursaria can be separated by a 'step' at the end of the plain hindwing line (see 4578112). In live specimens, like above, this is covered by the inner margin of the forewing. The other separator is that the hindwing line in E. excursaria is fairly straight and plain (until 'step') while E. bispinaria has a dip marked with dots (short vertical lines). With live specimens this is hard to distinguish, especially if the moth is not very flat.
