There are no P. productella specimens at, for instance,

with dark markings as extensive as this has.

yes, it is a problem. I think I decided on the ID looking at specimens in Melb. Museum years ago. No guarantee Id was correct. I don't think the specimens of Prodelodes samphoras on https://bold-au.hobern.net/specimens.php?taxid=414505 have dark markings as extensive as this one either

The markings on that one are milk-chocolate rather than the near black of this specimen.
