Tufty 'hair' on head. Forewings - dark patch on inner margin from base, row of dark dots running beside this. Much of the rest of the wing fawn/brown. Shiny white patch with dark stripes adjacent to tornus. Darker patch at apex. 5 or so thorn shaped marks (white outsides, dark centre) along costa for ~1/2 its length. The one closest to the apex is most prominent.
