Website redevelopment

Hi All,

Work is underway to completely redevelop the website that powers all the NatureMapr projects. It is now approx 6 years old and in need of a major tech refresh and upgrade.

As part of this work, we need to simplify a few things and remove some old redundant functionality that is no longer used and/or rarely used.

We will try to make the upgrade as painless as possible and the new website should look near identical to the current one, but yes there will be some subtle differences and short term impact to existing functionality in order for us to get this upgrade over the line. From there, we will be in a much stronger position going into 2020.

Thanks for your patience and support and we wish everybody a safe and prosperous new year. A special shout out to our friends and colleagues on the NSW South Coast who are doing it tough at the moment in the horrible fires.

Thanks Aaron. Can definitely see the impact of the fires and the smoke haze over Canberra. Far fewer reports as people are just not getting out there due to the smoke and hazardous conditions.

The website redevelopment is going to take several weeks (unfortunately) I just didn't get enough done over the break, but have made some significant inroads. We'll keep chipping away at it, it's not too far off being ready as a version 1.
